Over the last decade or so my life has been a bit of a roller coaster ride.  This time ten years ago I was just preparing to go into the United States Air Force.  It was 2007, and I was both excited and a little bit scared about where this whole adventure might lead me. We all fear the unknown don’t we?  I had grown up in the border town of Texarkana, which straddles the Texas-Arkansas state line, and had never spent more than a week outside of my hometown, so when I say ‘unknown’ there was a heck of a lot of unknown stuff out there just waiting for me.  So yeah, a little scary, a little exciting!

The next ten years or so I would find myself living in Hawaii, California, and west Texas. All places that would challenge just about everything that I had grown to accept as ‘gospel truth’ in my small bible belt hometown.  During this time I would get to know people from all over the US and the world, being exposed to their diverse cultures and religious faith practices.  I would also get to know myself more than ever.  Ultimately all of those experiences reshaped and refined who I am as a person and what I believe today.

This blog is simply a platform for me to express some of my opinions and ideas on various issues.  I hope you enjoy it!
